The Truth About Worship
Worship is defined as honoring a God that has higher power and greater status above all. Many worshippers seek counsel for a God that helps them find comfort and answers for them in a state of despair or submissiveness.
But what if the practice of worship was much deeper than what you thought? An aspect of separation that keeps you in an energetic loop that draws energy from you. In this article, I’m going to talk about why we worship outside of ourselves and how to understand why we worship.
The question is why do we worship outside of themselves? For many reasons, it is due to cultural conditioning and how you were raised. A matter of psychological wiring that instills early patterns of programming that enables the person to worship without awareness. The seeking of finding the meaning of life and having concrete beliefs to relay back on for power and provide reassurance for spiritual misunderstandings.

There are 3 factors that often play at the core of how we retain power, interpretations and the mysteries of life.
Why We Seek External Spiritual Authority
When we externalize the unknown, we feel a desire to feel more comfortable and seek community in our beliefs. This is a natural survival mechanism that allows us to relate and build a foundation for making sense of why we are here, based on the perceptions we see.
Worship has been an evolving hierarchy bias that provides authority and structure to a population. We have relied on social hierarchies as we have responded to leaders that are greater than ourselves; figures that deem the mighty above all. This cycle is passed down from tribal leaders to saints, and religious icons.
Another aspect is people think they are separate from “divinity” which results in reaching outward to something we lack. This perhaps may be an illusion that many are not aware of or not conscious.
Cultural Programming and Spiritual Dependency
In many cultures, the divine is portrayed as external and must be validated through an intermediary, rituals or a brick and mortar church. This creates a response of looking for permission from an authority that knows best if you are worthy of receiving from the divine. Modern power structures will place the concept outside of the individual and assert control.
What if this is an illusion, and we no longer needed to seek outside but rather look within?
Quantum Field Resonance and Consciousness
From an unconventional perspective, the Source/Creator is both within and beyond us. If we worship something that is outside of our reach, we end up giving our power and creative sovereignty away for something that never really served us. True worship is recognizing that you see the divine spark within all things, and knowing yourself to be your own authority.

From the Quantum lens of consciousness, worship is actually an energetic resonance loop. If you think the divine is “above” or “out there,” then you are only setting up a one-way channel of your energy that flows from you to the external figure. You risk draining your power away to something that retains your energy, and for what, to be saved or higher status?
If you see divinity as something within as without, you become a self-sustaining channel for claiming your own authority and expanding both your inner light and connection with the divine.
It may feel comfortable to relate to an external power. It is ingrained within our DNA from cultural systems that program us to find answers from authorities outside of us. But we also forget that we are made of the same essence we carry within us. To change this, we shift from honoring our own power without separating ourselves from our own divinity. Our intuition guides us to turn towards union of the self, and aligns us with Source indefinitely.
So how do we look within? It means we turn our attention to our heart space, instead of seeking validation from the outer world. By listening to our intuition and relying on our truth to become our awareness.
Why bother? If you seek outside, then you are dependent on external validation for finding answers to your own problems. Love, direction and meaning does not have to be found “out there.”
Our inner compass carries the meaning of love and direction we all look for. Our space for coherence is directly connected to Source, one you may be seeking all along.
Turning Inward: Practical Steps to Inner Authority
Here are some ways to look within:
- Create Sacred Space
It could be as simple as meditation, breathwork, or taking a quiet walk. You are not emptying the mind, you are listening to what is already there. You may ask yourself: “What do I do or know about my current situation, without looking for answers externally??
- Feel, don’t just think
Instead of figuring things out with your mind; bring your awareness to your body and be aware of any tensions, and sensations of the body. Your intuition will nudge you if you take time to sit in stillness. Your body knows the truth and will answer you when the mind is at ease.
- Question the beliefs you hold now
You may often relay “This is true because I was told so,” when you feel threatened in your beliefs. Instead, ask yourself in a quiet space: “How do I feel when I hold this belief about me?” If you feel weighed down or tense, then it may not be your truth.
- Journal your thoughts
Write down what you feel, desire and what fears you have. Your subconsciousness will surface old patterns and answers to your waking mind. Do this for 10-15 minutes without editing. - Practice asking your intuition
Before asking someone else’s opinion, ask yourself: “What would I do if I trusted my own wisdom?” “What would it look like?” When you do this, you are building your inner authority from outside approval. You are dependent on yourself.
From the Quantum field, “looking within” means turning your awareness to your consciousness. Know thyself and remember your strengths. Your perception of external validation is often a reflection of your divine blueprint. The more you expand, the more aligned you become with your reality and vibration.

Quantum Conclusion
The divinity within is less about separating yourself from the world. It’s about seeing the outer world as your mirror for creating your reality. You become your own Creator. As you focus on your reality, you start to shift from seeking outside sources to being in coherence with your energy. The god you worship is the same god that’s guiding you, through your own eyes.
